Thank you for the in depth review @Hilbert Hagedoorn , well done. Fast little chip that does not need extreme cooling and gaming performance sweet spot.

It may not require anything extreme but at nearly 300W, it will still require something either large, expensive, or loud.

Very tiny improvement to my 13600KF, you never notice this...might be the 0,2GHz higher boost. Ill wait relaxed to Meteor Lake, und try to get a nice deal end of November for a GPU, my 2070S is screaming for help.

We show energy consumption based on the entire PC (motherboard / processor / graphics card / memory / SSD)
It's not terribad, but still bad enough for a mid-range CPU, considering a 7950X3D consumes less than this under full load.

Or just get a cpu that uses half the power and have similar performance.

You can dramatically reduce that with adjusting bios settings and under-volting without losing performance.

So true but reviewers don`t give attention to this very important detail. Of course undervolt is not a miracle solution and it`s not going to make the chip use only 100w, but it`s a nice improvement and it`s free.

didnt intel start blocking undervolting in bios settings?
