Got mine too. lol If Intel couldn't meet volume demands, they shouldn't have released yet.

For AMD this is just a dream beyond the horizon. Expensive CPUs with hefty profit margins, yet the demand is so strong Intel can't manufacture enough.

Where are people actually buying it?? I haven't seen a i7-6700K in stock anywhere.

Pre-order from Newegg and they'll ship as soon as they get one in. That's how I got my 6600K.

I'm surprised these are selling so well since they offer such little improvement aside from ddr4 support.

DDR4 out for the masses not just the enthusiast boards, I will to bet alot people waited for DDR4 to available out side of those boards. If person is coming from 1st gen i5/i7 they gains should be huge

There's a lot of people on older platforms that are upgrading. They actually offer a reasonable performance upgrade for those running an i5 2500K or those on first Gen Core series and older processors. For some things, my stock clocked i5 6600K is actually faster than my i7 2600K was at 4.5ghz.

One aspect that often is forgotten is the chipset improvement. Z170 has DMI 3.0 and which allows for more bandwidth. A biggy is that DMI 3.0 allows for twice the bandwidth on the M.2 port.
