That might explain why it failed here too when I tried it a day or so ago via Station-Drivers, pretty sure the previous 10.1.1.7 driver won't work either so for those still on the 70 series and maybe lower too the latest WHQL one is 10.0.27 ( http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php/component/remository/Drivers/Intel/Chipset-Device-Software/orderby,2/page,2/?Itemid=0 )

Thanks a lot for this. Installed just fine (Z77) this is what was updated on my system Windows 8.1 without any overall command. DRAM Controller PCI Express Controller PCI Express Root Port 1, 5, 7 and 8 SMBus Host Controller LPC Controller All the above to INTEL 6/26/2015 Driver version 10.1.1.8 I don't understand why owners of X79 chipset failed to install. The release notes say that it supports Intel C600 series chipset which X79 is. Also the X99 Intel C610 is not on the list but that should be part of the C600 series chipset. I wonder why it is failing to install? EDIT: Sorry for editing my post again this might be off topic a bit, but is there a way to manually install MEI from device manager? i extracted the files from the .exe but it does not seem to work. Thanks!!!

Those that have trouble installing might want to move main installer to C: directory and run from there as admin just in case.

Use this part from 11.0.0.1556whql MEI.rar http://www7.zippyshare.com/v/l44HUf3U/file.html Extract the folder to desktop, then pinpoint to main directory and update manually in device manager.. Speaking of this new INF, well now that it updated whole set I get stabler memory again, can use 2400mhz memory OC np, before I would get random 0x124 by high load, almost thought its new bios fault (it was always a bit flaky after I updated to this bios 2103).. Something like GTA5, Windows movie maker. So imo its not just cosmetic update to show chipset info.

Thanks a lot -Tj- MEI 11.0.0.1556 WHQL extracted worked just fine. I was using extracted MEI 11.0.0.1141 WHQL and for some reason it wouldn't update from device manager. The only folder missing from your set was the Symbols folder. Strange. Thanks a lot..

Installed just fine on my Intel Atom (Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet), the colour quality of the display has improved dramatically, nice! Not prompted for this on my PC which is a Z68, the latest is 10.0.27 which fails. The latest installed version I have is 9.2.1026 which Intel released earlier on in the year. Asus also released a customised version. Anyone had the Network Adapter Driver update from Intel yet? Version 20.1? I installed it no problems, always had issues in the past with network card drivers. If you go in to Computer Management and look at the Network Card there are some neat features listed now with the 20.1 driver! I was just about to moan about Lenovo being slow with drivers but they just pushed out Windows 10 drivers and a BIOS update. Duh, winning!

Some components of intel hm77 is listed as C200's series. (c216 for exact) In my laptop this driver updated a lot of thing like pcie controller, hm77 express chipset LPC controller, CPU also.. @ -Tj- Thanks for mei
