intel is the third competitor in the gpu market we all dreamed for.

Some 8/9th generaties intel mb's can update their bios and then they will support it as well.

Yes, I had resizable BAR working fine on my old 9900k with my Nvidia card. Hopefully the driver won't lock it out on these older platforms, as these cards will probably be most attractive as upgrade for people with older computers that can't quite afford new ones. Although a used AMD or Nvidia card may be the better choice even then, but we shall see.

ReBar works fine even 400 series AMD chipset....

These requirements are steep for a budget GPU. It only makes sense if you are building entirely new budget system. This will not work for a ton of budget PC owners who have 4-6 year old CPU/mobo (which I assume is a majority of potential market for this GPU).

https://i.imgflip.com/4udsqy.png You never dealt with intel driver supports, don't you?

you never dealt with irony for sure.

This is very much limiting how many users can buy intel arc gpus.

As an owner of i5 8400 I can say that this is a bad move for them, since my motherboard ASUS TUF Z370 PLUS Gaming has received the ResizableBAR through the latest BIOS version, I think that at least the minimum should be a Coffe Lake chip...

You also need a pcie4 support and 400 series board do not have.

Considering the article says 10th gen Intel is good, the limitation is not caused by the PCIe version, it's something else on AMD's side. AMD only allows it on 3000 series (minus the couple of G models) and up.

I had 2700x and it has no rebar option in the bios so 3200g/3400g are still zen+ but 3600 and up are good if you run 500 series board. Maybe im mistaken.

i have a 5 year old GPU, a 1080ti, i m not sure if i should look into a intel 770 as a potential upgrade of anything. My cpu is 4+ year old ( 2700x ) in this way the arc 770 isnt good at all.

I thought the ARCs had performance issues regardless of the CPU? I see it doesn't support my 9900k. Looks like I wont be upgrading from the 3080ti after all!

Shame becouse 770 is such a great upgrade from 3080ti.

I agree. It`s like Intel is trying to sabotage their own GPUs...

you don't need PCI-E 4 to use rebar.
