Wouldn't this effect the speed of the SSD not having any DRAM? Great for enterprise solutions though.

Sounds kinda "meh" to me. A solution without a problem - they already have SSDs with a bank of capacitors to provide power to flush any pending writes from cache to disk. I'd imagine this is just a cheaper solution.
