I am super hot for the new RTX 2060... ((it's a joke of course)) To do that they could have named RTX 3050 or 3040... But they should have lower the price as **50 or **40 series, keeping the name 2060 permit to sell them at 3060 Ti price level (as there is none in stock). Good job... ((this is also a joke 🙂 ))

A 16 gig 3070 would be a nice little upgrade for next year....but not with prices the way they are.

Everything except for the 3080 has some availability over here. Not great, but you can choose from a bunch of different brands/models. 3080, however, has extremely poor stock. I could find a single model in stock by checking two major stores. However, the prices of all RTX (and RX) cards are the medical dictionary definition of insanity.

There's plenty of 3080's in UK stores but they are asking £1200-£1400 for them which isn't far off from the 3090's retail price. Plus it's not even greed from the etailers it's because they had to because of the scalpers buying out all stock. No scalper would pay £1400 for a 3080 but then again would any one pay that. No wonder they have stock now.

I have a feeling there's been little to no 3080 stock over here because people were ordering them like crazy when they were initially released. Soon after that, the factories started shipping all of the cards straight to Asian miners, so folks were waiting for their cards for half a year. When the manufacturers finally began shipping to Europe again, the stores had their long queues to honour. However, since the LHR and other new models appeared, it's anyone's guess why those aren't in stock. Maybe they all went to the UK, haha. Like you said, scalpers aren't probably buying them because the shops already have scalping prices. Might still be the miners.

These should make great mining products.

This the problem. That most of the GPU manufacturing facilities are in China and the locals there make backroom deals with them to buy their stock in bulk at higher prices leaving very little to be shipped overseas.

Theres NO mining in china anymore, maybe some underground small facilities which risk life for doing so, mining moved all over the world now, since hard ban from china communists.

I got my 3080 for £649 with a FREE copy of Far Cry 6. To see then making double that now is insane. I can remember when the news of new GPU's was exciting! Now it just feels grim, hopeless.

Can you be more specific? That sounds like just about anywhere in the world these days.

there'll be no in between 3060 and 3060ti version though, and there should be,there's 30-35% between them.3060 is also barely cutting it for RT,I think 2070S was the bare minimum and 3060 is slower.I'm talking playable ~50-60 fps with dlssq on at 1440p.I'd consider it decent.

There should be a new 30-series sku, 2070S + 5%, just like 3060Ti was to 2080S.Call it the 3060 Plus or something.

Regardless of mining or not, China remains the no.1 market for video gaming worldwide. And the factories being there, I'll bet their retailers get first call at GPU supplies. Esp with the current GPU shortage, you can bet there is a lot of wheeling and dealing between their retailers and manufacturers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_markets_by_country

Crypto mining is a bigger problem and eventually our gov will need to remove their head from their ***. I'm all for free market but crypto mining is the stupidest idea mankind ever had. I have nothing against crypto currency but they'll need to find a better way to allocate it and more importantly a way that will make it sustainable as a currency. Right now crypto currencies are not currencies they are speculative investment akin to tulips.
