(If it work's) it's a cool thing. (hehe pun intended!) Imagine two of those on a dual gpu card with each gpu having 150W of tdp. Smells like pretty decent single slot designs, if they make a few advancements and manage to get rid of that fan on there.

Why would you strap a CPU cooler with a 130watt thermal limit, on a dual GPU card with 150watt TDP per GPU? Doesn't really make sense.

There are already videocards with vapor chamber. GK110 (Titan/780-ti) cooler is one example, and I don´t think this technology is efficient enough to allow single slot solutions.

I have the GTX 770 with the Titan cooler and it works great in my mini itx build. I tried several other gpus - MSI mini and AMD dual fan; neither cooled any better and put too much heat into the case as a whole. Granted, the EVGA Hadron case almost requires a rear exhaust or water cooling.

Read the other half of the second sentence. If they improve it, and get rid of that fan. That's pretty much what they haven't done so far, improve it and got rid of the fan, because I'm well aware that there have been vapor chambers on gpus, like the Titan for instance.

This cooler is specifically for CPU's, so there's no reason to even mention GPU's in this thread. They would have to completely re-engineer this to fit a GPU. Removing the fan, would greatly reduce it's effectiveness. Vapor chamber coolers have to have a fan to dissipate heat effectively.

Just a warning, aluminium can't be soldered so those fins are made of zinc, I know this for sure as arctic cooling used the same technique on their coolers (the vga silencer series with coper base). And zinc has less thermal conductance.

Sure you can. Now whether or not it is economical or useful for mass production in this particular application are separate issues.
