This is good news a lower price opens the tech to more people. I purchased early and really like using the vive. I just upgraded to the deluxe head strap with audio and it is so much better for longer use.

Rec room has a sort of multiplayer dungeon crawler and a sci-fi shooter, a lot of fun in VR and with 4 players....oh, and they are free. ha
Crystal rift is quite close to DM in that you click forward for your next movement, and it has some magic, but only one player, no party of mages, fighter rogue and theif...but it is the closest i have seen to DM, and in VR it is quite a good atmosphere, plus it also runs on a normal monitor.
Hero bound Spirit Champion, Crawler where you look down on the game from above as you fight and solve puzzels.(free on the oculus store for all)
VR Dungeon Knight on steam (Early access)
Mages tale(oculus)....amazing looking game.
Those are a few off the top of my head.

Still can't find it in any e-commerce shop in Romania.. As usual we're a few years behind.

On vr i am not that interested in games as much but i am very much intrested in movies watching how is the experience? Does it feel like a cinema or just a big screen ? Or none of the above never tried so far

You can watch movies, 3d or normal, but if you have no interest in VR gaming then you would be better off with a big TV or a projecter and large screen other a VR headset, because VR is all about immersion, whereas if you are watching a movie in a VR headset you are basically just looking straight ahead at a large flat screen in front of you with nothing going on around you.
But assuming you can't get a large TV or screen due to whatever reasons then i suppose the next best thing would be a VR headset.

I must say that I prefer 3D movie in VR over one in Cinema. It has better sound as cinema has it way too loud and certain frequencies are crushed. You can watch same scene again. And you do not have annoying people around to laugh every 15 seconds.
Yes, phone with 2560x1440 screen can't match image quality in cinema, but Virtual Space station Theater... I think that 4k phone screens will make VR headsets pretty common.
In that case get decent VR casing for cellphone. There are dozens available ranging from $20 to $150. I have Samsung GearVR, that has additional sensors inside which are incomparably better than sensors in Galaxy S6 Edge I have. (Compared to viewport stability/response in cardboard mode.)
Online streaming of 180/360° videos is OK as long as they have sufficient resolution.
As far as virtual cinema goes there are some pretty good applications. For GearVR best is Skybox. Good performance, response to motion tracking is awesome. Image quality and video support is best out there. A lot of live online content directly in app. It can stream videos directly from PC as long as it is on same network. (So no need to have 40GB space on internal SD to watch Hulk smashing Loki into ground.)

thanks for both the responses my phone has 5.5 inch 1080 p screen not the most recommended for phone vr the native 3d is appealing , although for 20~30 euros i might just give a go to the cases just for a first taste , big screen is not really an option since my apartment is small although last months i am looking for 34'' ultrawides ! thanks for the responses !

Is the VR porn getting any good? Otherwise I don't see the point in buying one of these. 😀

i got my Sony xperia XZ Premium almost a month now, 4K HDR 5.5" display 😎...had trouble finding the right headset because of the size of the phone bezels and the availability of dissent headsets, VRBox clone for 4$ fits but it is a torture for the eys, anyways ended up with a shinecon V4 "G02E", minimal lens distortion and belt in headphones for 30$, i know its not the greatest thing but it's the best i could find here considering..well being here...anyhow..VR content for mobile is ok on google play, video content on line is mostly as stated is adult content, still some movies in 4k HDR are there and with the right player i got to say it is something else
I tried Trinus VR for game streaming from PC to headset...wireless or via USB. if u have an nvidia graphic card and moonlight app installed shield broadcast enabled, a game that actually support 3D..maybe TRidef 3D for better 3D with lots of patience and calibration it works, even on steam content.
and then i found out about Catrift Vridge it is just wow!!!...start games in steam VR..it even emulets Vive and oculus rift!!..till the 15 min limet kicks in and disconnects u can always buy the unlimited ver for 14$ if u live in a country were paypal, or any kind of E payment system "again not HERE"...anyways..if you really wanna get to VR an VIVE cost around 1200$ where u live!! it is a real treat 🙂 yes phone cost around 600$ and i needed that anyways, plus 30$ headset, Trinus lite free or Vridge for 14$..patience..lots of it..and U are gaming in VR wirelssly even, if you have an AC router+ AC PC adapter in glories 4K;)
be warned xpirea XZ premium dose not support google day dream because of the LCD response time limit as stated by google, still great experience if you are not willing to invest in an actual PC VR Headset.
OK, i know it's like reading a freeing review, sorry about that, had to share:D
for those complaining about VR headsets not supporting 4K check "Pimax" they got PC 4K gaming headset "IPC LCD panel" and announced an 8K headset 😱 that would be really something.
maybe if Hilbert ever had the time or interest to write us a review or a comparison between VR PC gaming options available and how much they cost, with his take on all that would be really something. after all, it is GURU3D, the place where True PC enthusiast gurus Gather:p

For me it goes like this , even if my phone is just 1080p i have no problem giving 20-30 usd to try it but for sure i am not willing to dive in with out some hands on experience of some shorts plus if i invest in some headset i am prety sure my aging 770 will not cut it at all! And i was looking to sinecon v1-4 few hours earlier!

How do phones and that pimax headset deal with VR motion controllers, or do they just do sitting VR with head tracking and a joypad similar to the DK2 headset.

Its also worth mentioning the OSVR HDK2 headset is down to $239.
Since I'm only interested in VR for sim racing application, this is actually bringing it down to a reasonable price point.
