Only 300? My crazy Dad spent around 700 on Head Phones, one of the best money can buy. It was some expensive wooden made Denon D7000 or something similar...

It's funny because $700 is still midrange depending on who you're talking too. HD800's are $1500, Tesla T1s are $1300 currently, AUDEZE LCD3s are $2000, Grados PS1000 are $1700. Pretty high end actually, most headphones around those prices, especially paired with a nice AMP. I don't classify headphones like the HD800's as high end, I classify those in the "are you out of your ****ing mind HIGH END". If my wallet could handle it, I would buy them though.
