The CPU is extremely under-powered. This AiO should really be avoided.
If it were Carrizo, it would be more than OK, but a Beema CPU on this... that's really a very bad option.

Yeah, that CPU is so PoS that it literally even stutters in Ubuntu the moment you open a couple of things together like browser with like 3 tabs and office-like thing... I have no idea what kind of Windows 10 "experience" it offers.

they keep trying to say tablet like CPU's can replace "your" desktop. low power mobile cpu can not and will not replace the desktop till said cpu can match desktop performance and they cant not with the power limites

I mean, they can, but taking into account ageing hardware. Your desktop from 10 years ago will probably be equal to this.
And I guess that's what they're banking on maybe? People with ancient desktops.

Not true at all. The Celeron J1800 is a dual core CPU with a 10W TDP that draws almost no power. In Windows 10, it performs insanely well. I'm using one in my media center. Just because AMD's mobile processors suck, doesn't mean they all do. As long as you avoid AMD altogether and Intel's Atom line, it's easy to find a low power processor that performs well....

If it had at least an A8 or better an A10, it would be a good performer. AMD's higher end mobile CPU's do not suck at all and will beat an Intel Celeron handily. They beat the mobile i3's and most of the i5's because the Intels throttle down more and sooner than AMD does. Putting an E-series APU in a full HD system is just sheer stupidity on HP's part.

I can say that this cpu really is a POS in almost every way, I have the 1.4ghz dual core in a laptop and even Web browsing is very sluggish the only thing it is good for is really long battery life.

As a tech in IT, I occasionally have to mess with laptops that have these processors. The E and C series are very slow and shouldn't never be in a laptop, they should be made for tablets or weaker devices. Atoms aren't far behind but the ones from AMD are just terrible. Those 300-450$ laptops you see at Bestbuy, Futureshop and etc tend to have those processors, beware!

I would never buy an AMD based PC with less than an A8 in it. Even the A6 ones are borderline.

Even the A8 mobile processors suck. I have a laptop with an A8 6410 and it's horrible compared to the Celeron J1800 I have in my media center.

AMD need to get the ducks in order before it to late and the companies that make the all in one pc with these crapy cpu need to stop, trying pull one over on people.
the Surface 3 tablet i have is actual not better then 10 years old laptop i have in terms of STP and in terms of multitasking it not much better even though it 2 core vs 4, If i actual put SSD in that laptop, it would be better then surface 3 and this basically intel vs intel
