It would have looked awesome if not for that blue PCB. The white shroud on a black PCB or even a white PCB would have been incredible.

Why do people care about looks? How often do you look inside your case? Even when you do you only see the top of them... It's a Graphics card, go for functionality over looks lol.

Who cares how the the fwording thing looks, it's inside your case. That said, i have the 280x variant and it runs cool and quiet even under heavy load. If the 290x' custom design has the same thermal performance it's a no brainer.

I see the inside of my case on a daily basis. I am proud of the way my tower looks and with the corsair air 540 you see everything. The side is just a plexiglass window. What I don't get is why we have to look at a PCB instead of the cooler. The lightning editions and a few others have nice back plates but the reality is most cases have the cooler facing down and you can't see the beauty of it.

If the cooler is facing upwards it'll be sucking dust like REMOVED. Also, not using the same hot air coming from the cpu helps.

I understand the physics of why the GPU sits the way it does. Your not making a good point. My point was simply that some people do see the inside of their case and care about the way things look inside of it! :bang:
