I would be happy with a 5TB under $300.

More massive storage is very much needed if you are any way involved in video...
I went out yesterday as I sometimes do when it is sunny with my 4K camera
- shot 70 short clips (most in just HD resolution) - total length 29m35s - size on disk is 20.3GB
For example a single 4K clip at 100Mbps is 2m29s long and is 1.66GB in size.
If you shot in the more pro formats the size requirements are bigger still...

And here I am with 8.5 TB and only about 1TB free space and the wedding season has just started (I'm a wedding cameraman/editor) ... I've been eyeing the Seagate Archive 8TB HDD for a while now ... its just very expensive here and I have other things to buy suchs as a 980Ti that costs 850+ euroes ... the HDD itself is about 325 euroes ....
