This reminds me of the good old days... when people were frying slices of salami on their old CPUs at LAN parties

Yeah I've seen it once live, and even back on TV when I didn't have internet yet, but there was a show in German TV called "GigaTV" (they still have a practically dead news website iirc), where they did that weekly, Tuesday evenings I believe. Or check this out: [youtube=7uBNCN6v_gk]

I find it amusing that Ketchup has better performance than some commercial thermal pastes :P

Time to get cooking again hilbert , you know you want to!
In scenario 1 .. where we reach 110 Degrees C quickly how much fun would it be to see if we can fry an egg on the backplate ? Ah hell .. why not ?

There we go .. nice little omelet there. With this temperature it's gonna take a while for the raw egg to get cooked.

My last Pentium, under load, put out nearly as much heat as my furnace vent (and sounded like a blow dryer). I suspect it would have made a fine grill.

FX cpus will do well as well as thermi (Fermi) cards and Prescott cpus!
