Yeah, I've read about it. It's a great move as they'll have to keep only a single copy for attachment, which can be deleted later on + they increase the user base.

I'll have to demonstrate this to my office since they think our IT is crap just because of the generic 10mb file size. What idiots.

It's not a real attachment, it basically acts as a link to your google drive that the other person can download.
