Up to 90 minutes extra battery good enough for you then?

Interesting, Looks like I will be un-rooting my Nexus 7 (Only had it for 2 weeks!) ready for the upgrade on Friday. Woot Woot!

So they settled on Lollipop then, didn't think the Lion Bar rumours were true. Looking forward to trying this out the Nexus 7, could of tested it for a while but I grudgingly agreed that I wouldn't as it's the wives tablet. Will be interesting to see performance and battery life, the N7 is already very quick and has excellent battery life.

Won't happen until they stop upgrading hardware/making larger screens (over 4.5 inch it's too much imo).

Turn apps off wifi/data off when not using them = days of battery life :P .

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I mean, obviously, better battery life is good, but a lot of this has to do with how you use the phone, and what phone you have. For instance, if you want to have a phone with amazing battery life, get the Galaxy S5 and whenever you're not using it and only waiting to receive calls/text messages, turn on "Ultra power saving mode"...can't really get much better with an android phone then what you get with "Ultra power saving mode" 10% battery life will last a day in that mode (i've tested and it seems to be correct on what samsung says) HTC One M8 has Extreme Power Saving Mode to compete, not sure how well it does

Extreme power saving on the M8 isn't as aggressive as Ultra on the S5, plus I'm sure only amoled screens have the ability to save power by switching to black and white. I'm using a custom rom on my S3 which has this feature, and yeah it's great. It's perfect if your out drinking and want to make sure the phone lasts the night, I like how you can even add the camera and a browser, although that goes kill the efficiency.

I use 2% battery in about 12hrs when stamina and low battery is activated.. Nice part is, i can set battery levels to define when they kick in, so no need to manually turn on/off.... Xperia Z2..

At this point, you could certainly not install anything more than 2.3.5 on this smartphone / tablet anyway . More seriously, how can you want to keep 2.3.4 is beyond me.. About L: well look some cool new little addition here and there, i hope can test it soon.

Strange Based on Google I/O I thought the material UI was very complete, but even based on these few images its quite much half experience. Don't know anymore if I want to switch to Android now. Need to see more proof its not a total mess anymore.

I'm interested to see if Art will make a big difference especially for Emulation. Dunno why a UI change is necessary at all the current Layout on 4.4 is quite nice.

The design guidelines for holo were so vague that even google couldn't design a consistent app experience.

I'd be all over this if I wasn't stuck on a 2 year contact. Still, I've yet to learn all the features on my GS4 so I can wait.
