that's a really cool looking heatsink I was waiting for the irdm series to offer something of good quality and good value like the irdm pro line did for sata ssds back in the day. it's not a great buy at 320eur though, with 980pro, sn850 and sn770 drives selling cheaper.

Do those offer the same warranty?

Wilk in the name of the company shouldn't be translated since it's the last name of its founder.

I'm surprised that the 980 Pro is missing in a lot of the benchmarks, are they that irrelevant?

The 980pro is currently £289 msrp with a ps5 heatsink but this Wilk is around £274, the Wilk has a higher write capability of 6850 compared to 5000 for the Samsung, the Wilk is closer to Corsairs MP600 Pro XT which also comes with a heatsink and is on special at scan for £239 atm, my MP60 proXT 2tb cost me £389 in Sept 2021 so the prices are very good until the next earth quake or power failure or flood or some man made natural disaster.

I just bought firecuda 730 2tb 7k/7k for around 235e, so... There are options now.

Great review. Just ordered the 2tb version. Better than kioxia pro at the same price and way cheaper than other options like the sn850x and kc3000 for maybe 2% less performance. 130€ for the 2tb version. Others 8-channel Phison E18 176-layer NAND drives are way way more expensive.
