Really dose any one even care as it way out my budget any way Hilbert 🙁 which I'm sure going to be north of 2k even 3050 and 6500 which I'm sure is going to be way out my budget too because in reality, it's a different story

Which really should of been since day one. I know it's only a 2 gig increase but when the competition are releasing 16gb cards then 10gb seems kinda low on a 2nd to flagship card. This is the type of thing that would really make me mad if i bought a 10gb 3080. I mean it's not only just a 2 gig increase in vram but they must also boost bandwidth and increase bus width too right? OK wow just went to gigabyte site to check difference between a 3080 Master 10gb & 12gb and i'm shocked to find these numbers. 3080 10gb - 320bit bus & 760GB/s bandwidth 3080 12gb - 384bit bus & 912GB/s bandwidth Which is very close to a 3090s 936

I said once before i will say it again there WAY to many skews within generation it use to be what xx40,xx50 xx60, xx70 xx80 they add TI to at some point then removed then added them again, now they release release all again on same generations with more ram. they killed off the xx40 models remove xx50 last i looked yet still more model pumped out then any other generation All while we supposdely have sorta of parts yet they actual pumping out more models now then ever before, and you still can get you hand on the cards

I understand what you're saying but, I've had my 3080 over a year now. I game at 4k and haven't run into any limitations at all when it comes to Vram. It doesn't phase me in the slightest. If it had of come out in a month or two of me buying the 3080, then that may have been a different story.

I think that ANYONE who bought a 3080 or 3090 for MSRP more than 6 months ago should be sitting very happy and very pleased with their purchase, considering what happened to card prices after release. No one with a $699 3080 FE should be feeling they wasted their money.

It's the same as a 3080ti so I assume it has exactly the same memory config and controller as the 3080ti.

It's a very expensive 2 gb of ram.

This is a price adjustment to what Nvidia really wants to sell 3080s for now. The original price was a big mistake for them. This 1) gets rid of all those people sitting on queues at original price which they don't ever want to sell to at that price and 1) allows them to sell the same 3080s, slightly modded to make them look new, at a new price to the same queue and new people at double the price.

no it doesn't, because the 12GB model will exist in parallel to the 10GB model.

You're not getting how this scam works are you.... the 10GB model will conveniently remain "out of stock" forever, because of course they can't get enough chips to make them, as the chips are all being put into the more expensive 12GB model, which conveniently enough will be in stock. So everyone wins, except those waiting on the original cheaper model.

no it won't.
