Does the gtx 1060 suffer from bandwidth in the first place will simply increasing memory clock help that much?

The 1060 can use some extra memory bandwidth as it's bus interface is 192bit which is a bit low for cards in that price class with pretty powerful GPUs that can utilize the bandwith. NVIDIA probably intentionally put the 1060 GPUs on a 192bit bus to limit the performance so it isn't to close to the 1070 And yes simply increasing memory clocks will help memory performance the same percentage as the clocks rise. And I heard from several 1060 owners that overclocking the memory yielded considerable extra performance. More then often was the case with other cards, but there have been others.
