Wonder if this will fit in my cell phone? Might be a tight fit.

The card size is a twinkie compared to the other versions and yet packs a wallop, prettie darn good if you ask me, temps and performance is rock solid, very good gigabyte.

Pretty nice, would be awesome if they ever did a single slot version of that. I miss those so bad.

I didnt like the small reference cards at first but after slapping a corsair h50 on mine it shows that they can perform the same or better as long as you can keep em cool.

many company do custom block, it's more or less the same price than premium block and even can be free if you are the 1st and send them the card... just ask them. (EK and aquacomputer as an exemple).

It's a very bad card with the Hynx memory... I got one defected, I got new one after replacement, and that one is defected. Many fps drops, GTA 5 everytime lagging on i5-4670, 16GB ram and 970... Now I had refund and waiting for AMD 3xx... Btw look at newegg review's many problems with that card...
but... but... it sound like a troll :eyes:

Pretty funny that you would blame Hynix ram. Also funny that you assume amd does not use hynix or even far worse elpida ram. If you're buying a 290 series amd keep a horseshoe in the rear and hope for hynix is all I can say. Anyways, nice review and a great little card that definitely has its place

Hynix memory is actually very good. Samsung too. Elpida is the worst of the lot.

I wish the card was stripped out of its cooler, in this review, to see how VRMs were treated. It obviously lacks a back plate, and you can see the RAM overheating in the thermal images.

Aw, so cute. It's parents must be so proud.

Hi, I bought this card 5 months ago. I wanted to add some temps I measured yesterday with an "IR Thermometer" from the back of my PCB. They are not "exact", but at least the GPU temp was almost right (the only temp that my VGA reports is the GPU Temp, all other temps may be not accurate) Model: GV-N970IXOC-4GD (I'm not sure whether its the same model of the review). Ambient Temp: 28-32C (10C higher than the review). Max Fan Speed reached: 67% (Nvidia Driver spec: AUTO). GPU: 79C ( 80C in HW Monitor). VRMs: 65 to 92C depending on the VRM (The South VRM is the hottest). VRAM: 60C to 80C depending on the module. Some considerations: - I've used Valley Benchmark 1.0 to raise the temps. - Important: The GPU max temp keeps increasing for about 15 minutes. I reach the max temp after 10-15 minutes. I.E.: After 7 minutes it only reachs 75C or something like that. - The Thermal Throttle temp was raised from 79C to 88C. (92C is the max permitted by the stock bios). Otherwise, I would be stuck at 79C). TDP still at 100%. - The case is open while i measure this (So no good "airflow". I have many 140mm FANS "NH-A14 PWM" in my case). I highly recommend you to buy the Gigabyte G1 or a bigger 970 if you have the space in your case. I bought the ITX version because until 2 months ago I was still using a small case (Elite 110). And if you have a good ITX case with Airflow in the VGA, then you should be fine with this 970 (in general). Regards, Sebastian.

Looking to replace my large desktop. I was thinking of just getting a good laptop and an NAS, but this little card has got me thinking of maybe getting a small ITX case for the bedroom TV and play games on it if I ever find the time...
