how many 780TIs have you exactly right now in your test lab, Hilbert? if I may ask, it would be fun to know.
three?
thanks for firestrike pic. 🙂

Great review, the 780Ti is a monster when overclocked 😀

Ehm, three right now but EVGA and Inno3D's are inbound as well. And per request 3DMark FireStrike screenshots will be included so you guys can check GPU scores etc.

Thanks for this review Hilbert! Any chance for R9 290/290X review with some non-reference cooler soon?

Wow! Really impressed.
Same performance of my GTX690 and probably will overclock even more when voltage unlocked... and is even more silent and cooler.
BLEH!
Damn, that's one quick card. Be interesting to see what the 290X can do with proper cooling.

Amazing - equal or better performance than my 680 SLI just a couple years after the fact, and most importantly, quiet.

I agree what Hilbert said in his review, something within this caliber should have gotten at least 4gb of available vram.
Anyone thinks a 4gb+ version might be available coupled with good quality voltage regulators for better overall oc'in.
LOL, I am still waiting for anothe dual card to come out, particularly the maxwell gpu's.
This one looks very good, makes we wanna sell the 690 but for now, I am still holding off.

I'm very happy to see that Gigabyte managed to get that cooler down to almost 1,5 slot width only. That makes the card the ideal choice for tri or quad SLI, with the cards right next to each other. With my two 660ti that is impossible. If they sit right side by side, the lower card blocks airflow to the upper card nearly completely. As a result it gets *very* noisy, while load temperatures rise to 90+.

So this card didn't overclock any better than the reference 780ti?
Quote "That combined with increased core and memory clock frequencies and nice overclock potential"
Hmmm except it's not true!
I suspect the card was throttling due to TDP limit and it doesn't matter what cooler you put on it, you aint gunna get any significant increase in overclocking ability.
Also, that cooler just recycles the heat round your case where the reference design blows it out the back.
