Without the card being pre-overclocked, the heatsink on it was seriously overkill. Remove one of those fans and they could've dropped the dB level by maybe 2 or 3, and the temperatures would still be of the lowest in the charts. Seriously, that dinky heatsink on the stock card did a good job, how did Gigabyte find this heatsink to be necessary at stock speeds?

I agree, I woud prefer they opted save some power, since a live in Brazil and energy is pretty expensive. But here in Brazil the Gigabyte model is 65$ cheaper (150R$) than other GTX 750 Ti models I found (evga ftw and MSI Twin Frozr OC), so I think is the best to invest for now.

Where exactly would they "save some power" on this card? Those fans don't draw enough power to make any difference.

I'll bet we will see some fanless coolers for the 750ti. Looks like they can easily manage temps with just good heat sinks.

My mistake, I didn't know that. Only the six pin make some difference, but you're right is just a little (15w from my reserch).

Even the aux pcie power connector makes no difference unless the card actually needs the additional power.
