The pricing on these boards are stupid. The asus itx b550 board is only $20 less than the x570 itx board with less features. It actually looks like a stripped down x570.

The plan is to upgrade my SFF gaming PC to a Ryzen CPU and B550 M-ITX mobo, so I read this review with great interest and it did satisfy in so much as I'll be putting the Aorus Pro AX on my short list. Performance across mobos from top-tier mfgs typically doesn't vary much (except maybe when aggressively overclocking) and the included benchmarks seem to bear this out, but the noise level in the benchmarks is far too high for a mobo review. A single Ryzen CPU (the 3900X is a fine choice) running on available AM4 boards with B450, B550 (if available) and X570 chipsets would be far more useful. Benchmarks for Ryzen CPUs other than the 3900x on indeterminate motherboards and chipsets, and even moreso for Intel CPUs, doesn't tell me much (or anything really) that I haven't already gleaned from myriad CPU reviews for the same procs.

Wot is the boot time??? to the point that windows starts to boot, as the rog-strix-b450-i-gaming-asus with a 3600 is about 60 seconds

I think I got the b450 version of this (great board btw) for only about 160$ cad this thing is 180$ Usd and the only benefit is pci-e 4.0 and an additional 2 phases. Personally I would have preferred a 4+3 phase for better igpu overclocking but they probably needed beefier cpu vrm for the 3900x.

I have an MSI X570 Gaming Plus and my chipset fan has never come on even when folding at home on CPU and GPU! I'm now glad I didn't wait for B550 as it looks like X570 boards have increased in price slightly, at least in UK, and B550 pricing is stupid.

Until you realize GB has lots of issues stemming from dual bios.
The +300 Aorus Ultra took 20s just to POST,
tried ram training every other boot, cold boot issues,
sometimes acts like psu is dead and wont power up (after using psu switch/unplugging power cord), and sudden (crash) reboots while on low load.
All issues that i didnt have using everything on a 150$ msi board.
And of course according to GB, there are no issues with those boards (except once in a while a support tech will acknowledge isses, just not officially).
This is the worst board i had in 20y of BYO and working as a tech.

What is the little hole on the back panel? Is it a clear CMOS button?

I'm toying with the idea of buying a 12C/24T or 16C/32T Zen 3 CPU after the launch of the 4000 series Ryzen. Want to build a SFF gaming rig and this board looks great for my 3900X, I can then use my Aorus Xtreme for a Ryzen 3 CPU.....just hope that when the board does land here in my neck of the woods, that the local distributor does not jack up the price too much. This and Big NAVI/Ampere would be my last hurrah as I don't think I'd looking to upgrade anything else, getting kinda old to be constantly upgrading my PC's, money's best used elsewhere....like food.
