The only possibly less optimal thing about Gigabyte Gaming mobos is Killer™ E2200 from Qualcomm Atheros. I had some issues with it right at the start, but that seems to be long gone. And that network prioritization software that comes with it is actually quite useful.

Theres a guide online on how to use the Qualcomm drivers instead of the crappy killer ones, which tend to be much more stable.

I've tried it and it ran well. But in the meantime there has been several Killer drivers, and I can't notice any difference with Qualcomm in day-to-day operations. Other than missing Killer Network Manger. Oh now I remember the issue I used to have. There was a memory leak in the old Killer driver. System would eventually slow to a crawl. Also there was no drivers in Windows 8. E2200 and me got off to a bad start. So I can understand why some hate it with burning passion
