Nvidia trying to manipulate the reviews by stating card will cost 599$ msrp when in reality all aib custom cards will 100$ more. From bad to worse. Im still not buying.

Nvidia has some 'splaining to do but otherwise this should be a knockout 1440p card. i have a hard time with the marketing of the last two gens of Nvidia (not the technology) and i still think they're missing out by not paying attention to a move made by a couple of Chinese aib - selling the mobile variant for desktop. even accepting that the mobile model is equal to the desktop model nominally below it, there would be a huge market for the 4090m as a low power 4080 equivalent or for SFF builds. the same is true for every RTX model.

yeah, this will be a 3080 in rasterization/3080Ti in RT, although I'm sure in nvidia's presentation it'll be a 3080Ti/3090 just like 4070Ti beat 3090Ti lol imo $600, 200-220w and it'll still be a smashing hit.

Having the same performance and price as 3080 more than 2 years later. DLSS3 is only selling point for this card and nvidia will market it as such with some bs being 2x faster or something.

again, how do you know it's $699 ? your today's "content" is pure sewage, zero facts. does buying a 6700xt really hurt that much after realizing 4070 would be perfect for driving that 3440x1440 with rt and being able to use dlss3 ?

It would be perfect but if it kept that 499$ msrp. On the other hand 7800xt 16gb sounds even better. Waiting...

7800xt will have 6800xt performance, 6800xt is 75% of 7900xt performance and 7800xt has 70% of 7900xt's CUs (60 vs 84). Go laugh at that now.

It would have better rt, fsr3 all the selling points nvidia trying to make here with 4070.

and a tier up in performance compared to last gen, 4070=3080, with at least 100w less power. 7800xt = 6800xt, power will be 50w lower tops seeing how rdna3 compares to rdna2. also, fsr3 is a mirage at this point. not even a preview.

tty8k:

I heard rumors that there won't be a 7800xt next to launch and instead a 77xx model. 7800xt will replace 7900xt at some point.
Makes sense finally. It was clear from the beginning that 7900xt was supposed to be 7800xt when they didnt hit the advertised 50% performance targets for rdna3. Still, they launched it as 7900xt that matches 4070ti when 6900xt matched 3090.

LOL, if Nvidia reduce the margins on their mid-range GPUs, it would wipe out AMD marketshare, and no one wants that.

I hope the 60cu part is a 7700xt like tty8k says. If not, it will be an absolutely abysmal 7800xt.

I mean, as a high end buyer cards are always expensive, and the question usually is if I feel worth it to buy one. But damn, as a mid range or lower tier buyer, one's EFFED since the second mining craze, and it didn't get any better since 2019 either.

as tunejunky would put it, "everyone does this". https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-radeon-rx-6800-xt-gaming-x-trio/ https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asrock-radeon-rx-6800-xt-taichi-x/ https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-6800-xt-nitro-plus/ https://www.techpowerup.com/review/xfx-radeon-rx-6800-xt-speedster-merc-319-black/ custom 4070Ti's go for $40-50 more than msrp https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-gaming-x/ https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asus-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-tuf/ https://www.techpowerup.com/review/palit-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-gamingpro-oc/ so how is 4070 going to be $100 more ? My guess is same $40-50 for the best versions of 4070 like trio/tuf, entry level gainward/pny at msrp.
wtf? name checking me on a unrelated thread? are you trying to be extra meta or what?

ah here we go again on your unhinged anti-AMD rants and without facts or merit as typical of you. and btw 7900xt smokes the 4070ti unless you're playing 1080p AND has the RT performance to boot, especially on newer games get your head out of your nethers and stop being so hateful
