I really want to see the 3070ti, I want see if perf gain will be worth 150$ extra in cost perf/price. I have 2 months to use my 20% coupon from evga store

It doesn't look well for 40 series pricing, honestly tho many sought after goods even pets have at least doubled in price since the wuhan leak. :p

Relative price jump from 3080 to 3090 is same as from 3080 to 3080 Ti. With that in mind 3090 is a better purchase. Because additional performance is traditionally always connected with steeper price jump the high you go on perf scale. But not in this case.

3090 is better purchase if you have no problem with the cost of in firstplace and that extra heat it will put out. 3090 range from $1400-1800 retail that to it not better purchase. less you have money burning holes in your pocket imo 3070ti prices are reaching just like the 3060ti prices infact every card since nvidia introduce RT has been "reach" with it prices. literately if prices keep going they way they are, this might be my last pc i make in long time.

This. Everything is going up in price, even used cars. I fear the days of buying a decent GPU in the $300-$400 price are gone. Seems like $1000 GPU's are becoming the norm. This is not good for the entire gaming industry.

If nvidia completely blocked crypto profit on their cards prices would stable out. crypto market didn't crash couple weeks ago it just lost around 40% value.

@tsunami231 Oh sry, I was thinking about 3080 Ti, not 3070 Ti In which case both 3070 and 3080 are proly better than 3070 Ti

nobody's getting paid by AMD or Nvidia. they want everybody to have a rtx card. so they have quit making mid-tier cards. your are getting theses cards like it are not. so pay thought the nose or quit. they're making record profits anyway.

someone has been paying someone for boatloads of gpus in one go, numerous times. some of these warehouse size farms have thousands.

yeah all this based on MSRP which is neither here nor there nor anywhere LOL there... I always wanted to use that phrase and I even added a pun
https://abload.de/img/e23dc9126efd98b3eb258lvkgy.jpg
@Noisiv MSRP means squat lately less willing to eat and shit and sleep in front your pc hitting F5 to get chance at something for MSRP. I sorta kind did that for the PS5 for 3 months I gave up. and Randomly check a Walmart stock just find out they had just got more stock and i just happen to luck out and get the order to go threw. I have not game on my PC since. IF get my hands on new GPU for MSRP that might change. then again this system might last pc I make and gpu i get for long time if prices keep going down the rabbit hole. @DannyD might be something to think about if i cant find use for before goes

Hello. Dankjewel Hilbert. Was expecting MS FS2020 to be included in the benchmarks! Knowing you did it before. Maybe update the FS2020 article? Pleaseee

Like others have already said before my post, the performance gagp between the 3080 and this Ti is too small, only 10% at best. But for some reason the price difference is 60% between the two!!! F.U. Nvidia! The sad part is that Nvidia is going to get away with this because of how insane the GPU market is right now... Great review as always Hilbert!

Funny how many ppl seem to be hurt pretty bad, by a product they deem too expensive/not enough gains over previous gen/next lower gen or what the definition of "Ti" should be etc, acting like Nv forces "you" to get it. Do you now get more/bigger groceries, than the ones you purchased 1/2 or 3y ago? Did you get a 30-50% bigger apartment/house, compared to the last one? Is your current car twice as powerful/fast/big as the last one? funny how many things get more expensive without any changes (quality/quantity increase), yet something anyone can live without, has to be sold for a few bucks. which btw i guarantee no one here would be complaining about, if they would be able to get it for 500$. my wallet has a budget, and i get the things i want, if i can, but i wont whine about that the next step-up being to expensive/not worth it/etc., and i wont sour it for ppl that do have the funds..

Nvidia CEO: Lets not take advantage of the situation. We should price the new card @ $799 to demonstrate our goodwill to gamers. Shareholders: Lets oust this f*cker now.

Doubt that many feel hurt over it, most are just pointing out the sad facts. Even worse practice is that e-tailers did set some old card up by 2-3 times their original price, just check 1050-1060 prices, tbh. if they keep at that they can for my sake go f themselves, not going to use my money on overpriced products. I sucks for people who got a card so old that it can't run anything anymore though, can fully understand that those people are outraged. Actually more funny to compare a longtime/lifetime investment with something as shortterm as a GPU.

Its more like Nvidia CEO : Lets say how we help gamers but in reality lets fuck them up. Shareholders : yeah, yeah do it!

Even if I wouldn't agree that the 3090 at MSRP is the "best decision ever", it's definitely better than what came after buying one early on. 100% agree on that. And yes it's sad, actually. Even worse, same goes for a 2080TI to some extent... imagine wanting a 3070 now... paying 1200€... while a 2080TI already lets one play since 2019. I wanted to get one of those tbh, but I hardly feel the impulse to do so at the cost of the card and a waterblock on top. Will probably just upgrade mobo / CPU, keep the GPU. Sad times for gamers and non mining hardware enthusiasts.
I wanted get at launch RTX 3090 Founders Edition, my plan was get at least one of RTX 3090s but sadly I have been out of luck hahaha At the end I bought GamingPro from Palit and if its worth premium over Founders Edition, hell no, its not worth it premium over the Founders Edition at all If people bought the RTX 3090 Founders edition for MSRP then I would say its good decision and right now seeing prices of RTX 3090s, sometimes I literally can't believe it these prices Agree its sad on many fronts regarding pricing and seeing now prices of RTX 2080Ti, its probably good time to sell RTX 2080Ti and if its time to upgrade, I'm not sure on that at all because of pricing of GPUs When RTX 3090 dropped or RTX 3080's prices of RTX 2080Ti dropped to such absurd prices like I bought for friend build RTX 2080Ti Strix for £450 I wouldn't paid for 3070 £1200,personally I'm not prepared pay anything like £100 over MSRP and if its possible then I wouldn't even pay more than that RTX 2080Ti is still potent GPU in gaming and with good OC and shunt mod can match stock RTX 3080 Waterblocks are not overly expensive if you go route of Bykski waterblocks, running them and quite happy with their performance Hope this helps Thanks, Jura
