Founder cards never made it to my country anyway, so no surprise for me.

This out of stock thing will continue all year long IMO. Probably next year this will all die down. Sucks but what can you do.

It is how it is. Actually this is a good time to just give up on high end gaming and find other hobbies.

In my country, not even scalpers are selling cards anymore, I was observing the 2nd hand market for a while and last month even these overpriced scalped cards completely disappeared... this tells me the situation is getting actually WORSE than better. About "giving up on high end gaming" I agree. But what I did instead was to get back to some less demanding games and Ive found real jewels. Ive spend 10s of hours on Ori and the will of the wisps, which I though was some bs game for kids, but its actually the best 2d platformer Ive ever played and it has a RPG/adventure elements in a big world 🙂 I play Vaporum... nice oldskool 3d gridbased realtime RPG Delver - very insterresting RPG game Modded Fallout New Vegas with freshly released Frontier megamod. I installed it just for the Frontier, but ended up playing the original game with all the expansions and mods... having the Frontier as a thing I will do laters as I skill up (or a 2nd walkthru) Morbid looks like a really nice RPG Same as Grim Dawn deffinitive edition. I spend my time Modding Daggerfall for the DFU project (my mod is called DREAM https://www.nexusmods.com/daggerfallunity/mods/5 ) Ive got Warcraft 1 + 2 bundle to play.. Dungeons of the Deep are waiting for me (same kind as Vaporum) Black Mesa, Lost Alpha, GTA5, Mafia remake.. All the oldskool shooters remakes like Brutal doom, heretic, hexen, Sigil, Amid evil, Blood, Dusk, Iron Fury, Nightmare reaper, Project warlock Too much to play 😀

Yikes. Here the FE cards were available for a month or so (but of course practically only available in small bursts, from the general shortage of cards), and then removed. But yes, FE cards were already discontinued in parts of the EU, so the speculation that they could be discontinued completely is not entirely unfounded.

Same here! I recently started to replay Gothic 2 (with expansion), and so far I'm having a blast. There is still so much stuff to play from past years, so I hope my GTX 1080 will hold on for a while longer.

- wasn't a great fan of 2d plateformers then saw hollow knight and ori on twitch youtube on tv and rediscovered the good old "console" games - I was telling everyone to play grim dawn but that was before they made really stupid changes, they added random "affixes" (monsters buffs debuffs) that you usually have in endgame dungeons except they added those in the story levels which makes some area that were already hard impossible to play, also I don't know with what kind of items devs playtest but damage over time was completely broken last time I checked, even with a full on life leeching build I could die entire 5 minutes later because I walked onto a pool of poison that enemies keep spamming in one of the dlc, they completely destroyed what was a great game, it's typical of arpgs where devs listen to players with 4000hrs and fully cheated items for balancing rather than people making their 1st playthrough (I played hardcore mode diablo likes for years so restarting from zero is something I've done thousands of times I also see how they make the game worse and worse for new players with no items) (thats how shadow warrior 2 was completely ruined with mobs 100% resistant to all elements but one and worst resistant to the player powers !!! great idea devs !!! because they listened to players with obviously cheated items when a weapon saying it does 100hp damage is seen on video doing 100K devs need to use their brain) I'm part of the 9.9% of players that beat the game in elite difficulty, and I did it without cheats with my 1st character played but that was before, last year I tried to do that again with a new hero, dropped the game at the 1st stupid hard random difficulty area, affixes have nothing to do in the story playthrough of a diablo like period - you can take a look at prodeus it's an early access 3d-doom, it might take a good videocard tough find a new hobby ? if you're lucky enough to live not too far away from nature there are some pretty nice looking "levels" out there, I really like the cloud texture they used 😀

On nVidia (Italian) website RTX 3080 is no longer available, it's possible to buy RTX 3090, 3070 and 3060Ti, but only fitted in a complete rig supplied by retailers...

That's a weird thing to say. Founders Models are the only thing that keeps gaming alive?

No, gaming is kept alive by the availability of the entire hardware ecosystem, availability which at least for videocards, is now the worst in decades. In my opinion, this can only hurt PC gaming on the long run, because there will be a considerable population who will just quit buying hardware, since it doesn't worth it. High prices and poor availability will steer some people away from PCs. Some of them will go towards the console market (which also sucks now by the way) and some will probably quit gaming entirely. Of course, the core PC gaming enthusiast will probably play indie games, or older ones, awaiting for stocks and prices to return to some state of normality. I for one, as a casual gamer, I'm thinking more and more to sell my PC and just get a console at some point, or just quit this gaming hobby and go on with life. I had high aspirations regarding PC gaming this year, even got an OLED CX for proper HDR PC gaming, but I can't buy a proper HDMI 2.1 card, because no way in hell I will pay more for a videocard then I paid for the TV.

Car producer from VW group in my country just today halted the production of cars, employes are at home with 85% of monthly wage. Reason? The chips. Cars dont ride without chips anymore. So no chips - no cars, factory is on halt. This is going major

I agree. I'm going to skip this generation of GPU's. I bought an Xbox series S and find it to be a nice complement to my gaming PC with Games Pass. The play anywhere is neat too, although few games support it. Cool to be able to play Forza 7 at max fidelity, 120Hz on my PC, then switch to the TV and pick up where I left off. I can't get on board with this gen of GPU's when next gen will possibly be coming soon after the stock issues abate. Also have been gaming less overall during the pandemic which I did not think would be the case.

Well soft lad here has ordered 2 GFX cards, a 3080 and a 6800XT. I think the first one to arrive will be put into my new system build. The other one will be sold. BTW Etailers are acting like scalpers now too with the 3080 costing me a 1000 pounds. A thousand fookin quid for a 3080 ouch. The 6800XT is a 1000 quid too for a decent one lol. FML i finally come into some money and now i have to bend over and get F***** just to build a modern system. Total cost should be around £2400 but i ended up having to spend nearly £3500(£4500 with both cards) granted it's a once in a lifetime build so i went a bit crazy but still got shafted with over priced items.

Seen some retailors putting way higher prices on them over here, basically they upped the price on all new unavailable cards and even higher on the very few cards they do have in stock, I hope people would be smart enough to not buy these way overpriced cards.

Figured the situation would only get worse back in November when I cancelled my Asus tuff 3080 preorder and picked up the Palit Gaming Pro 3080 instead, the only 3080 I could find at the time, it cost me £800 and £200 for my waterblock and backplate, a lot more than I wanted to spend at the time but if you check eBay scalpers are currently selling the card for £1499, it's insane.

Some neighboring countries could be delivering to you though. Ordered my FE from France and got it delivered to Belgium (they also stated they would deliver to Spain).
