Well done Nvidia, 1080p is now king........long live the king. Lol

It`s no wonder when the graphics card prices is so stupidly overpriced. Furthermore have the speed of hardware developments in some ways been stagnating, so people don`t see the need in upgrading so frequently as in prior years. Myself im stuck on an old oc`d 5820k and a 1060 6gb and it`s doing mostly what it needs do do, besides not running newer games at satisfying graphical settings.

Steam is such meh metric when it comes down to it. Most of the people who own these gpus also believe only nvidia can game correctly and hash tag #RTX on social media when they peasant gpu cant do it.

There's no reason to keep publishing stories about this voluntary (and thus meaningless) survey. It's not representative of the user base at all. That's why the results skew so wildly month by month. It's just pure horseshit and we should stop giving it any attention.

Yes, because it's well known involuntary surveys are a thing. lmao.

It's called sampling the data directly instead of relying on random gamers to take a moment to fill out a dumb survey...which people rarely if ever do. Steam knows what OS, CPU, and GPU you are running. Voluntary surveys, especially when they aren't with the same people again, are worthless as a metric in a case like this.

HD 5770!....:D all jokes aside you fellas remember how people flock to the ATI 5770 because they can/could play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 like no other... I think it only cost 200 bucks back then?

You don't fill out anything. You just click "yes" to allow your system specs to be uploaded. Also, read up on simple random sample and sample size determination.

Useless crap survey, you can't really play most of the recent games on hardware that Steam wants us to make believe as popular.

I guess people in poor countries have to buy these awful bad value cards like the 1650, kind of sad really.

Even better was the X1900XTX which was top dog for a mere $500 played Obilvion like butter even then. Then again I think the even better deal was the GTX295 since it was a single slot SLi card for $500 as well.

Most of the most popular games are actually not that demanding or have settings that scale really well.

I am talking about "AAA" games, and those have been a giant mess lately when it comes to performance optimization. And not even e.g. Apex Legends scales that well.
