More grist for the rumor mill... RTX 2080, to signify the ray tracing capabilities of the new cards. [youtube=ms7HQ7rckpA]

Sounds like a steaming cup of bs to me.

I'm inclined to believe that Nvidia will do exactly the same thing they did with consumer Pascal cards. That means availability shortly after announcements. I don't like the leaked memory sizes from Adored TV though.

I wasn't aware that a steaming cup of bull sh*t had a sound but hey, you learn something new every day πŸ˜€.

Yeah, funny how everyone is quick to call BS, but many times it is true.

Well, the timing seems to be right, and it's been over 2 years since the current gen was released, so it seems like a plausible date. But yeah you could be just guessing around and incrementing with a month each time you're wrong.

maybe they plan this generation to last 4 years? blower cards tend to die rather quickly due to heat

The Pascal FE cards throttled under sustained workloads. Plus they have to give people a reason to buy FE cards again, might as well make them a little more premium if you're going to ask for a premium price.

not true at all, they are loud at speed for fact the most quiet ref card of al time....give me another 50

I find this 2 blower thing hard to believe. 1080 Ti is fine with blower and its 250w, and i dont see 2080/1180 being greater than that. Ti maybe.

Cross fingers this new vgas don't go up in price. Dual fan solution seems like a good idea for a FE.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/79/79740.jpg
If dual fans, it may indicate a horribly hot, power hungry card. Would be a first for an Nvidia ref card.

It does sound like a crazy hot GPU. I'll save my money this time if this is true. Already had 2 GPU's fail due to heat. Not going to name brands.
