Biggest winners from this will be who ever planned to get gtx 1070. Gtx 1070 prices will fall, so in fact you can get it cheaper or for pretty much same price get a Ti version.

You mean the 1070 price or the 1070 Ti? As the 1070 Ti is halfway or closer to the 1080 in pricing. 😀 NV dropped the prices of FE by about, but Guru3D wrote they are not expecting lowered 1070 prices, maybe 20-30$.

This would have been the card for me to get but pricing doesn't make sense with it being so close to the gtx 1080 and way above msrp as is.

there are 2 or 3 models of the GTX 1080 that cost within $10 AUD of the cheapest GTX 1070Ti here in Australia, so at least for here in Australia the GTX 1070Ti makes no sense.
