I am still waiting on confirmation on that from NV. It's 32 for 1050 2GB and 32 for 1050 Ti. However 96-bit means one less memory channel, that suggests 24 ROPs.

Hilbert Hagedoorn:

Pure curiosity and nothing else, but why do many people still have a fascination for single slot solutions? I mean from a practical point of view really it doesn't make any difference as all mobos are designed for dual-slot. Next to that dual-slot will cool better and offer improved acoustics. I mean you can argue that it could look nicer, but even that is debatable. Also, you'll have more display outputs with dual-slot. Or is it just a grasp back to the good old times and we're all getting older and grumpy 🙂 http://www.guru3d.com/miraserver/images/2008/9600gt-xfx/bottom2.jpg
I had one of those single-slot XFX 8800gt which was very cheap for the performance. but boy, it was terrible when it came to cooling and acoustics. right now I have two 1080 and one 1080ti running at 100% load and three of them combined produce much much less noise than that card while the temp is 40C less too. yes the XFX card ran at 105c under heavy load!!! GTX 1050 is much less power hungry so I guess noise and heat won't be much of an issue with this GPU but still I never buy a single-slot card again.

We need 4 slot cards with on-board refrigeration! 😛 I do not miss the days of jet engine sounding video cards. Back then, I always used aftermarket GPU coolers which made my 1x slot card a 2x slot card. I think my GTX260 was the 1st card I owned that I liked the OEM cooler well enough to leave it.

Personally, single slot cards although nice for the low end, cannot be used on the high end mind you, they make too much heat. Power consumption has been going up and down past few generations, ofcourse power per watt has gone way up with that being said. and cards like the 1080ti do insane power per watt which is nice, and loads of low end cards dont even need and power from the PSU now just from the motherboard which is lovely for anyone who doesn't have the extra power. Don't know maybe more people are making mini builds now so single slot sounds nice, i still enjoy big cases, more to work with

My gosh it can´t even beat the gtx960/950oc in witcher 3 and Timespy. Wicked card.

Wish nvidia would stop milking Pascal and give us new cards. I know they aren't under pressure when AMD is just splashing around like a magikarp.

So much milking - Nvidia could open a side business as a milk producer. Well, at least it's not using DDR4.:p

A question related to the review: In the charts there is a card "Geforce 1070 TI (Palit)", which gets very good scores so far and at the same time seems to be the most silent one in the charts (page 8). Could someone please tell me what exact model this is? There are a lot of Palit out there ... 🙂

I have a Saphire 5970 in my second rig which i bought for £25 a couple of years ago as a spare card, is this new 1050 worth the extra £70-80, given that the 1050`s avg fps seems to be around 30-35 at 1080p and my 5970 will do 45-50 in Ets2 and around 50-60 in Arma 3 with only 2 gig of gddr5, second rig is for touching up photo`s in Photoshop and playing Sims 3 & 4, apart from the lower power usage i see no benefit.

That gpu is great value for $25 but these are scam sku don't buy gpu but 1070ti or better in this market. 1050ti average is more like 45-60 fps 1080 with low med settings that is like midrange laptop performance but it strong for it efficiency which is likely already improved but we wont see it on laptop for awhile.
