This card is perfect for my optiplex I'm using as a HTPC (it was free just need a drive). It has room for a double width card but must be low profile. Hope the passive cooled ones come in around $60-70.

I don't understand why people continue to ask this question, when for the past 3+ years it has been known that GPUs have gotten good enough that having a 2nd GPU for Physx generally hurts performance.
Depends, killingfloor2 fluids need it, 1x 980ti oc'ed isnt enough at higher resolution, and few more games. I have 4-5more where it could run better with this extra gpu.

Killing Floor 2 still dropped to 30-40 FPS with a ton going on with my 2nd Ti dedicated to it. So no KF2 does not need it. Doesn't help at all.
I do know it but i like when you explain it that furious. :P Still, 1050 is where its at and what people should aim for atleast.
Not from a troll post 😉 Besides what benefits does a 1050 have over a 1030 if all they need is a couple displays? Or to watch 4k porn? Answer is none.

Is that compared to the performance you had using them in Sli? The benchmarks I've seen actually proving that dedicated PhysX is useless typically had a huge powergap between the main GPU and PhysX GPU, like GTX Titan and GTS 450 (actually different architectures as well), also typically in old games.

I'm sorry that you think you know everyones finances. I actually know someone who is using an 8800 GTX he was given for free still, but it very much in the realm of dying, and is looking into a either getting a GT 740 or 1030(which the 1030 looks to be the performance of a 750 ti), and even spending that much is not ideal for him. He's almost wanting to just go on ebay and buy a hopefully good working much older card for around $40, but wants to see if its worth it to buy new. In before "Well if he can't spend $110 on a graphics card he shouldn't be gaming" nonsense comment. Also, the GT 1030 is aimed to go up against the RX 550, why exactly isn't there flack about that card?
He should definitely not buy this card, the performance per dollar of this card is terrible. His best option is to buy used.

No. It was tested without SLI. Single Ti with physx 2nd card doing nothing had the same FPS(huge drops) with 2nd Ti dedicated to Physx. In short, waste of time.

I have tried this many times and have no clue what you are on about. I even tried to use my old GTX 980 ti with my GTX 1080 ti as a physx card (the 980 ti was the physx card) in games that were supposed to benefit from a dedicated physx card, including killing floor 2, and saw no benefit, and generally saw a decrease in performance.

Wouldn't necessarily disagree with that aside from the fact that getting used is...getting USED. But it's not me that's making the decision.
