Idk, I find shadowplay extremely useful. Plus when I owned my shield the streaming was legit. I guess if you use neither, yeah it's pretty useless.

The new driver gave me a 200+ score in heaven 1080 with 980 sli 🙂

I am not surprised. my uninstall (of the "graphics driver" item in "add or remove programs") got all janky and didn't finish (I am even careful to stop all NVidia services in services.msc beforehand to avoid problems like this...)--on a freshly reinstalled fully updated windows 8.1, no less. also, I disable windows updates so that doesn't screw me with older drivers automatically updating. after first failed/incomplete uninstall I got an error box upon restart the computer prompt... after reboot, the 2nd uninstall try seemed to work (graphics driver was still in add or remove!). same error box upon restart... AGAIN--but now it uninstalled (similar uninstall issues in windows 10 preview at the moment by the way). Then I manually had to uninstall all the other parts of NVidia in 'add or remove' ... audio drivers, PhysX, etc. -- as usual. then I went into device manager, selected 'show hidden devices' and removed all ghost devices under monitor and display adapter. THEN I used the latest version of 'display driver uninstaller 14.3.0.0' (as of this post). in safe mode of course, first with shut down, then again with restart. then I unhid all the folders and manually checked in program data, users, regedit.exe etc etc. to be damned sure there were no remnants... but--DDU does a great job, there was nothing! shut down to make registry settings permanent. THEN I finally installed the new 350.12 (custom install option selected, and tick the "clean install" box) ... everything working perfectly. reactivated windows updates (set to manual). try these steps then your NVidia experience or whatever shield/update bloatware will work correctly. and probably 10 more things beyond that will be functioning properly too. 🙂 they updated something in the experience application though, I could tell by the way it loaded up. again, that was on a freshly installed/updated windows 8.1 with 1 previous driver installation. add/remove programs screwed up. it would be real nice if this stuff ever worked like its supposed to without us having to jump through 15 flaming hoops of failure. I seem to recall them saying you don't even have to restart the computer anymore like 10 years ago. LOL that was a lie. us old school peeps remember how to play it safe on driver updates. can do much more than just click 'uninstall' to be sure all is functioning properly. have fun! 🙂

Shadow play won't record with this driver release. I push the buttons for either Manual or Shadow while in games and nothing happens.

Mass effect 2 crashes very often on Illium. Reverting to 347.90 fixes the issue.

Jar NEVER USE GeForce Experience, i posted some months ago that Was the MAIN problem from ALL Ubisfot Issues ralated with AC UNITY and Watchdogs, took me a month to discover it but i did it Uninstall NVIDIA Drivers from Safe Mode, go into win again, let it find (old drivers) if he does, do the same till you see Standard VGA Driver. THAT point is the sweet one, now go and ONLY Install Drivers and PhysX I put this on Steam forums, everywhere and there was no more drops of FPS, no bad optimizations nothing. you can check here on my page 154 GAME Screen Albums https://www.facebook.com/628778670479191/posts/723581514332239/ My Fixes to GAMES https://www.facebook.com/628778670479191/posts/818220174868372/ Be Welcome it's in Spanish yes, but anyhing you need is there Friends of GURU3D, this has been my home for years i have my own page now since 2013 feel free to visit, share, post, whatever you want. This driver breaks the normal functionality of Rog Swift's G-Sync. People also reporting DSR not working and SLI problems. Others report crashes in games and problems with GTA V. They seem like bugged drivers. My ROG Swift has the same problem with these drivers. G-Sync is enabled everywhere even on desktop. Monitor's LED is always turned on as red and the monitor's OSD confirmed G-Sync mode on desktop. That's not a normal behaviour. It's supposed to be white on desktop and tuns on as red only in full screen apps. Also I have weird stuttering on the games I play like G-Sync is not working. I did clean install with DDU 2 times and the problem is still present. I reverted back to the previous stable WHQLs.:bang:

For some it may be the only way to control the LED on their video cards. One GTX 970 I had always had its LED off by default and the only way to turn it on was through the GeForce Experience program. Oddly enough despite setting it to save, the settings wouldn't remain and it had to be turned on every time my PC restarted.

Partially true. Bloatware unless you need shadowplay or some specific functions. Wish they would add these features through the drivers somehow rather then this piece of software.

Nah, you can the LED program from the extracted installer. Default location is... C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\350.12\Win8_WinVista_Win7_64\International\LEDVisualizer. Run the NvLedVisualizer.exe program.

I didn't know it could run independently, I didn't check. Thanks. I just wonder if it's updated now to properly save settings. I guess I'll find out soon.

Bloatware is something that slows down a computer and or can hog up memory, GFE does nothing like that whatsoever. Simply having it on your PC does absolutely nothing in terms of CPU and memory usage. Just because we may configure our games manually, GFE does not deserve to be called that. ShadowPlay has pretty good fast recording software that can record 60fps with really small file sizes, its pretty nice for what it is. Like someone also said, the streaming feature is also useful. Is the game tweaking part of GFE worthless to some? Yes, but its far bloatware.

Horrible performance with some games like NFS: Hot Pursuit getting laggy and incredibly sluggish, and still no G-SYNC by the way on my ASUS G751JY
