Heh. I have a feeling we'll be seeing HL3 well before "late 2014". Given the way valve released the Orange Box with little to no warning beforehand, I expect something similar this time around.

I was watching this vlog a couple of weeks ago when someone said "do people even care about HL any more?" It's been so long and I really don't care, personally. HL2 was imo very overrated, bland and boring.

Honestly I do not understand why so many people are psyched about HL. I attempted to play HL2 way back and got so bored did not even bother to finish it.

I enjoyed all the Half-Life games because they were innovative, had excellent gameplay and pacing, but more than anything it's just one of those games that leaves so many unresolved questions. And what separates mediocre games from great games is whether you're left with that feeling that you WANT to have those questions answered. The way Episode 2 ended was gut wrenching, and I don't see how anyone who played through the entire series would not want a conclusion, with at least some burning questions answered. As much as I want to know more about the G-Man... I'm not sure if that will ever be answered. But i'd sure like to see the storyline come to some sort of resolution.
