So we have "fixed" Samsung phones still burning, now more reports of iPhone 6 and 7 burning. It may be time to reduce the power of these phones until actual advancements are made. Quad core processors running 2.1-2.2GHz and pretty darn advanced graphics demand too much battery and they are obviously pushing the limits too far. We used to put big butt cooling on CPU's running 2+GHz and these things are choking inside cramped aluminium/plastic quarters wrapped in clothing.

2SSD_PRO ...you are talking Blasphemy! All we need is MORE POWER to run our batteries dry in less than a day!
If you think it is completely pointless as even heavy games don't require that much and VR is pants (more so via head-mounted phone), you have to have your head checked! At Samsung or Apple store (depending on practiced religion).

Samsung should just recall them altogether and resell them to the military. I hear they are great at smoking Isis fighters out of their lairs.

I just got home from a flight back from Bali Indonesia, and they are outright banning these handsets from getting on planes in Asia as of this week.
Samsung has a real problem here beyond the initial numbers that have been reported.

One day we're gonna read that someone from plane security crew was confused by smoke and fire coming from the seat of some unlucky passenger which Note 7 just caught fire while they were at air: "... sorry, when I saw smoke and fire I thought he was terrorist, had to kill him..." Who's fault that's going to be!?

It's nice to see Samsung blazing the trail for the next generation of phones adding a new incendiary feature.

If I may be blunt, Samsung crapped on this big time and don't think they will be able to fix this unless they do an overhaul for both the battery unit and the components inside the phone for battery charging. Thought about getting the galaxy s7, before this fire exploding issue, just gonna stay away from all Samsung phones for that matter.

Samsung always had questionable quality as far as I remember, crt tvs with crappy flybacks, my 750s monitor got unusable while my older sharp and pana tvs are still kicking for my retrogaming, my first lcd (samsung) went green, my second had dust under screen. Actually I think it´s Korean quality because LG is crappy too.
