Elpida memory... Do they really advertise that they use Elpida and think it is a good thing and a major selling point?

I reckon this would be awesome & perfectly suited to an sli setup, that's where the 6GB could really come in useful with the multiple displays & increased VRAM requirements of modern games. I reckon there's a real place for this type of card now - in terms of the amount of VRAM. Arguably not as useful to have 6GB on a 780 if you're only going to buy one though.

I was gonna cash out for Inno3d Ichill 6gb version, but ran short 70e.. lol <_< http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Inno3D-GeForce-GTX-780-iChill-HerculeZ-X3-Ultra-6144-MB-DDR5::27657.html btw, Watch Dogs is a mess, they will fix that stutter, engine streaming is ineffcient.. so 3gb is still fine for at least 1-2 years @ 1080 - 1440p reso:P
The engine stream must be inefficient but u still need 3GB + for this game and future and that is because of the nextgen consoles, unified memory vs limited VRAM.They will fix the lag and the stutter, but they can`t fix the vram usage.

I think that's a good point you make about the console design & architecture there, but I'm hoping that my 3GB VRAM will last me well (without restrictions) for the next 2 yrs. Titanfall uses all 3GB of my card for the 1st time, so I think it's only a matter of time now - how long I don't know!

Nothing wrong with Elpida. Why else would they use it in their HOF edition?

The game stutters like mad on Titans, memory has nothing to do with it. Also remember a lot of engines will allocate to available memory, that doesn't necessarily mean they need it.

Elpida rarely overclocks well, Hynix would have been a better option.

If at all.
