Would be interesting to see this on Ryzen since AMD tends to show better results with higher memory frequency... though i have no idea if it could even reach this, hear many struggle to get past 3200mhz let alone get to 4200/4600... But would be interesting. On another note RAM is starting to hit the old speeds of GDDR5 now (DDR4 4600mhz vs GDDR5 5000mhz)

Hell even with the AGESA upated to 1.006a, I can't even get my 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 3000 Mhz Cl15 to run reliably past 2133 Mhz on my AB350 Pro4 board. Not for lack of trying ...

Ryzen seems to need low timings, so i doubt any of the higher MHZ kits with really loose timings will ever work on ryzen. 3200mhz at 14-14-14-34 seems to be the best for ryzen, and we probably wont see anything much better then that.

No quad channel for those? What is the point of advertising x299 if there is no quad support?

lmao "Now, designed for extreme speed dual-channel memory operation on the latest IntelĀ® X299 high-end desktop platform" Buy the most expensive RAM for the most expensive platform, and run it in... DUAL channel!

those timings will hit performance like nothing. time will tell

Not sure if timings are bad. CL 19 may look worse than CL14, but if i remember good the latency is misured in clock cycle not in time. Having a 19 at 4600 is still better or very similar to 14 at 3200, you are getting 1 third speed more, and 1 third latency more.

With 1/100 of performance increase compared to the 4400mhz at $277, probably $300 for 16gb at 4600mhz. Can buy a Ryzen 1700x for that amout.

Well, I have 3200 memory in my system. I can't reach that speed. Initially it went only to 2133 reliably, with the latest BIOS 2666 has become the new stable limit. So how much sense do kits that are rated way higher make really ? Though I've heard that Ryzen based systems can usually get higher than Intel ones.

Motherboard BIOS bug? Corsair Vengance LPX isĀ“nt Samsung B-Die (thatĀ“s the better compatibility for RYZEN rightnow), sell that memory and buy a B-Die grettings

you can manual config to the higher settings, check for Memory Timmings on AIDA64

Chipset voltage would need an increase also I'd imagine.Sounds doable.

chipset? the memory controller is on the CPU, chipset just need overvolt when you Overclocks via baseclock

Ah yes you are correct! I keep forgetting it was moved onto CPU.Side effect of not upgrading very often.:)
