Hmm, not really interested in this series. I was always put off by the endless expansions (also I've heard that 4 was bare bones even compared to vanilla 3).

I never made sim people but I always just liked building stuff in these games. (ex wife liked this stuff) Using the Sims isn't the best home builder (many limitations) but it still allows for some easy creativity. I'm grabbing it just for that.

Not sure if you're kidding and thought that was a high estimate, but the actual cost of all Sims 4 content exceeds $500, at least if you bought them all individually at MSRP.
