I grabbed it but it crashed my system with some horrendous noises in my poor headset. Totally locked up my system. I only got to difficulty settings before it went screwy. Maybe it's because i by-passed Galaxy and went straight to the Shadow Warrior 2 .exe to try play it? might give it another try later as i like the humor and gameplay from this series.

Not sure, but actually, don't they make sure you don't need DRM or a connection as part of their whole deal behind GOG, so bypassing Galaxy shouldn't be an issue I think.

Maybe but i find with a lot of free games that there's still some unresolved issues floating about that will probably never be fixed. I went back to Rocket League after it crashed my system and gamed for about 3 hours straight all temps and stuff normal. You have to install Galaxy to be able to download games from Gog but as for whether or not you have all the latest patches and stuff then of course you need to be online through Galaxy to check. I did some reading and some people say it's fine just to run the .exe while others say you need to run games through Galaxy.

I was able to download games with out galaxy using by downloading the offline installer files and the GOG downloader.
