I wouldn't worry, these are bullshit requirements, hogwarts legacy did the same

You need a 4080 to hit 60fps in CP2077 @4k. If you run at ultra with RTX, it'll be 44fps. Forspoken requirements seem pretty much in line with what has come before and what will come later this year.

Yup, another ridicilous release by SE. Poor optimisation, rtx 4080 for 4k ultra? No DLSS? An 6800xt is slow er than any rtx 3080 series, so this is bad marketing. Its going to flop as callisto protocol if not worse. Not to mentioned, it has denuvo DRM so expect 20-30 fps less especially if you have an older cpu. DX12 shouldn't be main api as many systems out there cant run dx 12 good enough and its also heavy api compared to dx11.

Luminous Engine, I take it? Figures, that engine is yet another of those game engines that had a front end, with off-the-shelf api's bolted onto it - and it has become an unoptimised and inefficient slugfest, requiring a nuclear sub to power. I think the game will do fine, SE are typically seven to nine out of ten games, so, all the best for their new game - I'm sure it will have a loyal fanbase.

XenthorX:

I'm confused, given the trailer i thought it was a playstation studio game, anything above PS5 equivalent/RTX2070 should be enough then?
Looking at the PS5 demo, the performance stats are impressive. The game can drop to 720p in the performance mode (60 fps). This game is extremely heavy. But it doesn't look that impressive, to justify these requirements. Most of the times it looks like a crossgen title. [youtube=11H2K42RUxc]
PS5 in performance mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 2560x1440 and the lowest resolution found being 1280x720. In performance mode PS5 seems to usually render below 1920x1080. PS5 in performance mode seems to be using FSR 2 to reconstruct a 2560x1440 resolution when rendering below this resolution. PS5 in the 30fps quality mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest resolution found being 1920x1080. The rendering resolution changes often in the 30fps quality mode and seems to rarely reach 3840x2160. PS5 in quality mode seems to be using FSR 2 to reconstruct a 3840x2160 resolution when rendering below this resolution. PS5 in the 40fps quality mode seems to have the same resolution setup as the 30fps quality mode but the average rendering resolution is lower as the DRS system is targeting 40fps. The 40fps quality mode seems to render at 1920x1080 much more often than the 30fps quality mode does. PS5 in the 30fps ray tracing mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 2880x1620 and the lowest resolution found being 1472x828. The rendering resolution changes often in the 30fps ray tracing mode and seems to rarely reach 2880x1620 and rarely drop to 1472x828. PS5 in the ray tracing mode seems to be using FSR 2 to reconstruct a 3840x2160 resolution. PS5 in the 40fps ray tracing mode has the same resolution setup as the 30fps ray tracing mode but the average rendering resolution is lower as the DRS system is targeting 40fps. The resolution drops to 1472x828 more often in the 40fps ray tracing mode than in the 30fps ray tracing mode. The 40fps modes are accessed by enabling 120 Hz Display Mode in the game's display settings. Note that the 40fps mode footage had to be captured at 1440p due to capture card limitations and as a consequence will look worse than it will on a 4K 120Hz display.

Correct; it uses the dumpsterfire Luminous engine. I don't have high hopes either way because it's from SE, and naturally because of that it reeks of "current year" and has to be approved by their woke department, I forgot its official department name. I'll be really surprised if it ends up being any good.

At least it's not using UE4 with all those stutters from asset streaming and shader compilation. The FF VII Remake was a mess on PC because of it.

Honestly I'd take my chances with UE4, at least that can be easily modified and seems to be less criminally inefficient. The Luminous engine combined with SE's incompetence resulted in FF15 running like dogshit even on a 5800X3D + RTX 3080 system like mine all these years after its release. Edit: LMAO, the base game without its upcoming (and totally not cut out content to charge you more) DLC is $105.64 (tax included), or $142.93 for the full game. SE can go pound sand. For over $140 I expect hardware included like in the SNES days where game cartridges often had add-on chips in them that outpowered the SNES itself.

Glottiz:

Why? People always make bigger deal from RAM requirements than it really is. RAM is dirt cheap. I had 16GB 10 years ago and now I have 32GB. 2x16 Corsair DDR4 sticks is like 90€ now. That's pocket change compared to GPU prices. I mean when budget entry laptops come with 16GB RAM, I think it's time for enthusiasts to take note and upgrade to 32GB 🙂
I never mentioned price. Just the fact that a game is recommending 32GB RAM as a requirement for certain settings. I think its a bit overkill, especially since this game will be one of the first to use DirectStorage where RAM requirements, in theory, should be lower than normal as the games data is streamed directly from storage to GPU cutting out the need to also go into system memory.

The game doesn't seem optimised for the PS5 at all so not suprised its relying on high end hardware on PC 150GB is a lot for a new gen game, they probably still using uncompressed textures and data duplication

the real travesty here is the 150gb space requirement
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/238/238382.jpg
lol..... the hard drive space requirements. hard pass. I'll watch the youtube version.
