Why? People always make bigger deal from RAM requirements than it really is. RAM is dirt cheap. I had 16GB 10 years ago and now I have 32GB. 2x16 Corsair DDR4 sticks is like 90€ now. That's pocket change compared to GPU prices. I mean when budget entry laptops come with 16GB RAM, I think it's time for enthusiasts to take note and upgrade to 32GB 🙂

They could have thrown 3090 there, but it's a flagship card, so they could have thought a cheaper non-flagship enthusiast x080 card would look far more attractive as a requirement. I mean, x080 cards have always been immensely popular. According to Jensen, any gamer worth their joystick is willing to hand over 1500+ euros for an x080 card. Jensen is never wrong, otherwise he couldn't have turned Nvidia into one of the most important technology companies on Earth.

This is a big requirement? Callisto Protocol someone? I played with the game and i get 1440p ~60FPS with 4080. XD (all max, RT on, FSR Balanced) The Forspoken is very optimized if running 4K 60FPS with 4080...

For me, Jensen words are like gospel! Now excuse me so i can think/dream about buying 4080, only to forget the idea immediatly as soon as i remember the 1.500€ price tag...
