I could say the same for Microsoft.

Tomorrow, are we going to see an article titled "Former SEGA CEO thinks Nintendo should stop Making Mario Kart games"?

Microsoft lost it's start menu vision.

I think they talk too much. I wonder what he would do.

Apple is a lot of things more than before (both positive, and extremely negative), meanwhile Microsoft is just more annoying than before, by a monumental amount.

Funny thing about the comments here is that it seems most of them are posted just to bash Microsoft, albeit the guy was no longer at Microsoft since 12 years ago.
Kinda makes me wonder if the guy was written as a former IBM exec; the exact same article would probably make a whole lot different reactions.
Who's here actually did read the Forbes article that's being linked to?
What's in Guru3D's article is just snippets from the original article.

Let him say what he wants to. As long as they have people like Jonathan Ive and Tim Cook and also allow talent to thrive instead of dealing with bureaucracy as it is in MS, Apple will be fine.

So, basically what he's saying is they need a Steve Jobs II? Good luck with that. I've never been a huge fan of Apple, but Jobs did have a magic touch when it came to products and marketing. I mean, think about what happened when they pushed him out of the company back in the day. They certainly lost their vision then. Now they are without him for good and they have to rely solely on the products to speak for themselves, products which Jobs isn't around to criticize to perfection, or tout.

You can't lose something if you never had it in the first place.
What this is really saying is, everything is locked down tight now with patents so its getting harder to steal other people's ideas 🙂

Says the company that comes out with Windows 8 and Windows phone and wants to make it so you can't play used games.

I think both MS and Apple need to hop on Google Maps and find their way back home tbh.
MS with its touch screen tiles for desktop pcs and Apple with its....erm, what ever it is that apple has that appeals to so many, inflated prices or whatever.
To tell the truth, as a human being that likes to by stuff (something about being refered to as a 'Consumer' offends me), I spend quite a bit of time being just plain annoyed at the incompetence of some of these corporations that i've pretty much just brought my spending to a complete halt, other than for buying games and upgrading the pc every 6-12 months.
These guys are just greedy to the point that the smart ideas that made them all that money to begin with has now just made them blind to what people actually want from their $400+ devices.

I think MS clearly has vision now, no question about it. Apple has mediocre leader now who is not going to help the company in the long run.
