So...someone who is working with the manufacturer to resolve an issue on a pre-launch piece of hardware is reporting that...they haven't finished working with the manufacturer?
I think the outcome is what people would want to know, maybe they should wait until then, versus trying to gain attention on shitter.

Imagine all those millions of PS5's having this issue.......
This is just an incident though , i have to read just one review of a reputable site where this actually happened.

Not surprising at all. Here's the LEGIT answers to everyone's questions that asked months ago, why were Sony so closed lip on info on the performance, etc. for the PS5 as it reaches its launch date a couple of months ago.
Now, we know why.

One thing is potential fatal flaw in integrated controller for SSD. Other thing is to have wide spread failures on multiple integrated parts.
Can be as well electrical issue of particular unit. (VRMs)
As for post, important is, that he was not only one who reported storage issues. Questions are:
"Is issue recoverable?"
"Are data lost in process?"
"Does it repeat after some time again?"

Well SSD can die, that is not a news.
My macbook died of SDD and was 1 yold.
1 incident does not make a full product flaw.

There are going to be failures, that is the nature of technology, and it won't mean much while under warrenty, but outside warrenty is when this becomes a pain to keep up and running, moreso almost impossible if you have no soldering experience....but i would say a revised model of the PS5 will at some point in the next few years dump the fixed to mobo and have a removable ssd.

After the robocop, terminator and rambo (in MK), now we have a PS5 Fatality.

Well, this is way it´s always better to wait instead of buying stuff right at release. Although i can understand the temptation to get one.

Is it the SSD that is part of the motherboard and can't be replaced? Karma didn't take long to strike back.

This is my fear when buying a console: SSD fails, all console goes to the bin.
Meanwhile my mom computer PSU blow up a couple years ago (literally), bought a new PSU: PC still functions for a couple more years until I replaced it.

They should have gone with a traditional sata SSD until m.2 has matured.
Loading times wise an m.2 is only 1 second faster anyways.

Meanwhile Xbox just went with a simple m.2 slot
