Yes, Z270. I believe MSI already showed one off. I do think older boards will have bios updates and allow compatibility

Should I wait? My X58 SLI chipset rig is so long on the tooth it's starting to look like a saber toothed tiger. An old one, but it just keeps going strong.

I don't think you fathom the amount of work that's gone into each successive processor to Sandy at all.

It won't be that much faster than Skylake, I'd expect 5-10% on average. The GPU has been redesigned though and should be significantly faster. I expect it'll be somewhat more power efficient as well. Might be cheaper than previous processors if AMD can bring some game with the Zen.

"I have been building bridges with my Sandy for many years now, others chosed to get their help from Ivy..her younger and somewhat sarcastic sister. Some urban legends even say she was a faster builder compared to old Sandy. Sandy don't mind, she likes to take her time and build solid bridges. She told me that once..after her twin brothers right next to her had gotten their calculations wrong at one point and made her crash in anxiety. But she recovered with no loss of memory. Thankfully. I sometimes nag at her and tell her to hurry, but she will only start to sweath and get unstable with a blue tint in her face , and i will have to calm her down again whenever that happens. We recently crossed a lake which had this beautiful blue sky above it. Sandy stopped for a moment to look at this lake and to admire it's beauty. She is tired now. In the horizon we see our destination, Sandy's final destination. Lake Kaby. She know that we will part soon and she has accepted that. I will miss my belowed Sandy, my friend for so many years."
