Its not only asus sadly all companies have thrown away good customers service, I just dont understand it. My recent experience with Samsungs support was the worst I have EVER experienced, and I will NEVER buy another samsung product as long as I live

From what I recall reading recently, the only difference between x370 and x470 is that the < 8x/16x PCIe slots will be running @PCIe3.x speeds as opposed to the current 2.0 speeds which feed those small PCIe slots. If accurate, then that means there is effectively no difference that will be noticed by the end user. But perhaps the motherboards themselves will be different, but I'm skeptical on that point...;)

Shame you will inadvertently have it in your system via memory on hardware or phones etc without you realising.

This could mean 2 m.2 slots running at 3.0 4x then. My board has 2 m.2 but one at 3.0 4x and one at 2.0 4x. But still you woul get 1500mb read and write on 2.0 4x which is still fast as hell for a game drive.

The difference also is the memory support, X470 should allow higher clocked memory.

I wonder how much that'll matter with the chipset vs the CPU. The motherboards will "advertise" high frequencies, sure, but won't it in the end be the CPU, since the memory controller is on the CPU? Effectively, my point to the question is, the better memory support from x470 will need to be investigated. They'll need to test: 2000 series CPU on x370 2000 series CPU on x470 And see if there's a different maximum
