Imo, fallout 4 combat and movement felt too borderlands/destiny floaty style too me. New vegas can be tweaked and to be honest felt a lot better to me. Not to mention this project started before fo4 got released.

And by the time it was even remotely ready to be released, Fallout 5 comes out. Then they convert to that one, by which point Fallout 6 gets out. And it goes on and on until the dev team is dead, and we're dead too, and nobody's left anymore to remember it was supposed to come out.

Says Beta 2 0 0 Release date is 23th of Oct. Still, looks good, I lost interest in Fallout4 and did not finish that game.

Looks amazing, unfortunately the hype is a bit premature as they have a release set in half a year. They even have a countdown on moddb. On a side note isn't this a continuation of project Brazil ? I remember they had a playable first hour of the final mod a few years back.
