What happens when Mr Jo Blogs deletes his account and finds out all his personal details are held in cold storage for life. Cant see this working out well for them.

It'll work. In the end jo blog won't care if facebook doesn't re-install the stuff. I think it's been said before that the stuff are there forever or something like that. I don't think that when they put the data back from discs (if they put them back) they juts do a copy paste, not efficient. I'm guessing they just copy back the files required.

Cheapskates! Thought that Farcebook would have a large server room for this purpose. In actual fact, then, Farcebook is operating on the same sort of level as the early back-bedroom game designers did a few decades ago. Not surprising that it seems to be reasonably easy to hack into, then.

Facebook assured me 3 years ago that all my data was "permanently and irretrievably gone" when I deleted my account. Then a couple months ago when someone accidentally started to type in my email and hit enter (when logging into another account), I had an email 5 min later welcoming me back to FB and showing all of my stuff there just like it was when I left it 3+ years ago. I detested them when I left them the first time and I detest them even more now. Shameless liars; at least politicians try to cover it up. :bang:
