I don't know how they think their going to sell this thing. I mean, come on 1GB RAM and 1280x800 ? That's 2011 specs ! Expected more from Nvidia, not impressed.

1280x800 isnt that bad for a 7'' screen. I bet you have only a 1080p monitor on your desk which ppi is waaaay worse than that tablets screen. Heck even a 1440p monitor doesn't come close in terms of ppi to this 7'' screen.

I think the resolution is fine for a 7" tablet. And RAM shouldn't be an issue either if it gets upgraded to KitKat. 4.4 is supposed to reduce memory usage significantly.

I'd rather get the N7 which has a (probably) weaker processor, in turn for the 1080p screen and developer support. In fact... I already have one! 🤓

I've seen the price ($200USD)....and I'm still disappointed... It's advertised as "always up to date"....yet it's outdated at launch running Android 4.2.2 instead of Android 4.3.... eVGA Tegra NOTE 7 @ Newegg

1gb of ram. No thanks. My cell fone has 2gb of ram

hope it comes to europe soon i can see a place in my life for it. it shines in a few area's compared to the N7 and fails in some of minor significance imo and honestly 2gb of ram on a tablet wth are you doing with that thing, my phone has 1gb of ram (tegra 3) and it's never past 800 not even when playing carmageddon (probably a less impressive title but the device was not inteded for gaming still though tablet game resources can't be that intense).

I thought this too at first, but then I thought about it more. If you look at competing devices such as Iphone or Windows Phone, both high end devices only use 1 gb of memory max. This seems like a low amount compared to Android, but that's because Android is a memory hog and makes it even worse when the companies and carriers add their UI changes, and other frameworks and bloatware. Even on bare CM, my S4 with 2gb only has about 1.4-1.5 usable, and maybe 300mb or so of that is always populated with base android core services. Kit Kat is designed to work fluidly on devices with 512mb of memory. Now this device ships with Jellybean, but Kit Kat will be in its time. That's when this device will shine. But the device has other drawbacks. I understand that because of yields and cost to manufacture the SOC that may be the most expense in the tablet, but they skimped out on the resolution of the screen. But considering you're getting a solid performing tablet with decent resolution, stereo speakers(This is something a lot of tablets lack), camera's, stylus that comes with it, and expandable memory on top of already having 16gb, $200 isn't bad for this little guy. I was thinking about the Nexus 7, but if this tablet has as much support in the development community as the 7 I may rethink that, and use the $30 difference to buy an sd card for this. 😀

For the average consumer 4.3 isn't going to make a difference. There isn't too much of beneficial differences from 4.2.2 to 4.3. Besides, if we're going by this Cyanogen Mod has no 4.3 stables out yet but still is amazing as ever on 4.2. 4.3 actually has not touched my s4 yet being aosp or TW, and honestly I probably wouldn't notice too much if it ever does.
