1500mhz? You'd be lucky to get 1400 imo as these are already cherry picked I'd assume and if 1500 was doable it'll take more than h2o but I hope I'm wrong.

Not really because if it starts at 1280mhz you should be able to add atleast another 100mhz even on the worst overclocker on air. That will take you to 1380mhz then you have boost so you can add another 50mhz ontop of that. That gives you around 1430mhz. Add a waterblock and add more volts through it (unlocked voltage) and i reckon your looking at around 1500mhz.

Wish I could go into a video card thread without fangirls vaginas bleeding everywhere............ I love and hate both sides the same. Each suck at certian times and have tech that the other side doesnt. I personally hope mantle is awesome and pushes pc gaming in a new direction. I personally dont believe nvidia does things for pc gaming for a benefit of all users but to just their benefit. mantle could be the same way and ill hate it if it ends up that way and sadly it probally will.

And who's everyone else in your opinion, nvidia fanboys? Those that say its meh are yeah either huge nv fans who despise anything AMD or folks who dont really know what to do with it. But once you show those folks it can have CGI like gfx and run great, Im sure they will think again, nvm those fanatics, their loss. More on topic, I think Nv is kinda scarred of custom 290's, once those hit the market it will change a lot of things.

No the ones like meh are the ones that want to see proof and aren't blindly saying it will be the second coming of Jesus Christ. The noise from the AMD fanboys and the tight lip from AMD themselves reminds me a lot of the bulldozer. Hope it's not the same but it would not be the first time AMD let their faithful down.

More on topic, I think Nv is kinda scarred of custom 290's, once those hit the market it will change a lot of things.

You may want to check Cowie's thread about his experience with the 290x it would not go past 1200 even with a pot on it so there may not be a lot more there with Hawaii.

The point is those customs will be cooler and people will buy it more, you will see. No one cares if it OC's bad on LN2, not normal gamers. 🤓
