That's nice and all, but they have only 2 years warranty, and because it cost bazillion eurobucks i will surely go with MSI, Gigabyte or Asus, which all have 3 years warranty.

Dont forget past vga problems at evga, too.

my Gigabyte FE + EVGA Hybrid Kit is due tomorrow - yeah, did cost a bazillion eurobucks, but I assume the board partners' air cooled cards will cost around the same as my DIY hybrid ..

I only buy Zotac now, as they give 5 year warranty 🙂

Your information is wrong, their website says they're offering 3 years on all versions of their 1080 Ti's. EVGA's 1080 Ti Products

Something tells me that the Hybrid FTW is going to be coming out when all others are released, that's the one to wait for, mmmm, mmm..

Sure do wish all these companies would go back to their lifetime warranties. All to easy to sort out the trash who mutilate their hardware. I personally opted for my ten year warranties from Evga for their vanilla TITAN's when I bought them....

But i don't care what's on their website, i care what our shops say and all EVGAs have 2 years warranty.

Will the caged shroud help or hinder the cooling on these cards?

Why? EVGA at least on my 980 box state to RMA direct to them, not the retailer you bought it from, if they are offering 3 years on 1080ti's from the EVGA site, why use the shop with only 2 years?

You should care that your shops are wrong and are ripping people off. Besides, the EVGA warranty is separate from whatever 'warranty' your local shop is claiming.

Probably after the 2 years, people RMA their faulty cards to the shop, the shop charges full price for the repair/replacement, the shop gets it replaced free with the remaining 3rd year from EVGA themselves and makes a killing from the sucker who didn't use EVGA to RMA in the first place

Um...lol? You care about the people who don't take care of the warranty more then you care about the people who do? Never do an RMA through a shop unless its them replacing it with a new one from their shelf.
