Basically he spoke to an EVGA representative to ask about the touted performance improvement. The representative admitted that it doesn't affect performance.
Why they allowed to lie? Another foolery.

Why cant MSI release something fancy like this? :s

LoL @ their marketing lie about performance. Let's add lights and a cover to hide the fact that all it is is a jumper board to connect the cards together. And then we can charge more to suckers who believe us. Whoever marketed it like that should be fired and blacklisted for false advertising.

Seems to me the marketing is saying it has been optimized, which isn't untrue. The fact that the optimization doesn't do anything doesn't really matter lol. I think the marketing is done by the Fae, only they are this good at twisting words to be both the truth and the untruth.

If you can't tell by looking, these are for cosmetic purposes. EVGA isn't claiming they are going to boost you FPS or anything, and the bridges probably are higher quality than most. I don't like the look of flexible bridges, maybe some people like the look of these.

For those wondering about "performance gains," there are none. I posted a year ago about my situation regarding using the original PRO SLI bridges at 1440p and 120 Hz. I had flickering/crashing in SLI in some games, and it was due to the SLI bridge. EVGA listened to me, tested, and found the flaw revising the bridge to accommodate more bandwidth (pixel clock). The same is probably true here... just another increase. So if you're not having problems gaming with your current bridge, which you shouldn't be if it's not an old version, you won't see any difference - but you may fare better in the future whenever refresh rates or resolutions increase.
this is prolly whats needed to get DSR to work with sli+gsync

"High pixel clock design optimized for 4K+ and 120Hz+ gaming"
I don't understand how someone can read this quote and come to the conclusion that EVGA is claiming that these SLI bridges improve performance in any way. They clearly say that they're "optimized for "optimized for the next generation display resolution and refresh rates, with a high pixel clock frequency design that gives best performance for 120Hz+ and 4K+ gaming", which doesn't imply that the standard cables aren't either. You're going to find the exact same kind of marketing language on just about any box for PC components. In fact, I just glanced at the boxes my Asrock motherboard and PNY GTX 780 came in and both said similar jargon. I'm sure there are people who will buy these thinking they'll get some benefit other than cosmetic, and to be honest... i could care less. I'm sure he'll be super happy owning these bridges since they'll fit right in with his collection of MonsterCable HDMI/Optical/Digital Coax cables, MSI military spec motherboard, and $35 LED lightbulbs all throughout his place.

Actually what they are saying is that they will work with high res AND high refresh rates. I had a first gen evga bridge and it wouldn't work with my Overlord 1440 120hz monitor. Half the screen flickered and had issues. Evga sent me a updated version which I am still using

These look really, really good, and that's the most important aspect when it comes to something like this. It would be even better if they added different colors though, the gray part doesn't really fit my theme for example, but I guess they want to match the design of their own cards.

I'd rather see the sli bridge done a way with but still very nice looking bridge they got here. Im still using an ancient evga bridge that came with my 750i ftw board lol.

There are cases with windows, and some people do want to put their together to have it look like something. But to be honest, I wouldn't buy those bridges either... neither do they offer any performance gains, nor I do like the looks of them (none of the ones I've seen so far).
